Digital Infuzion Accepts Consecutive Flu Fighter Award

Digital Infuzion recently had the honor of receiving the Adventist HealthCare LifeWork Strategies Flu Fighter Award for the second consecutive year and was also highlighted as a "Flu Champion," a title reserved for only four of the thirty-two winners.

The Flu Fighter award celebrates Maryland employees who "demonstrat[e] a commitment to creating a healthier, flu-free workplace." This commitment can include a variety of practices ranging from comprehensive sick-leave policies to simply providing hand sanitizer. For this flu season's winners, according to Adventist HealthCare, the two most notable efforts included offering on-site flu vaccination clinics and covering the cost of vaccines for their employees.[1]

Digital Infuzion was specially recognized as Flu Champions due to our additional efforts of
  • Flu vaccination clinic participants receiving flu prevention goodie bags containing items such as portable hand sanitizer and tissues,
  • Providing employees access to medical professionals 24/7/365 through Teledoc, a virtual medical platform, and
  • Offering additional employee wellness initiatives including flexible work arrangements so employees can take care of themselves and their families, a Wellness Fair featuring a variety of local health and wellness organizations, and organizing biking and walking group events during the year.
"One of our top priorities here at Digital Infuzion is taking care of our employees," Rich Mariani, Digital Infuzion's Director of Human Resources, remarks. "We recognize the importance of helping our employees stay healthy, not only during flu season, but all year-round. By providing good health care for our employees, we feel we are contributing to the overall health of our local community."
